Lucinda's first trip to the American Museum of Natural History and a flashback to Deston's babyhood

Andrew had a surprise day off of work a few weekends ago, so we took the opportunity to visit Deston's favorite museum--the American Museum of Natural History.

Deston's class was working on poetry when we visited and this is the poem he wrote during our visit:

Museum

noise
lots of exhibits
blah, blah, blah
people talking
noise
but when it is time
to go it is very
quiet

Not sure whose face is the scariest here . . .

Lucinda doesn't like her stuffed tiger at home, so
Andrew had to see if she'd feel the same way about
the life-size version. She was okay with one, not so
okay with the other.

The big whale.

Lucinda Lemondrop

The tiniest docent.

Little baby, big museum

For some perspective, this was Deston's first trip
to the museum in the summer of 2008. He's about the same
age as Lucinda now. He had such an angel face!

What a goober!
